Liposuction (Fat Removal)

Liposuction (Fat Removal)

Fat accumulation may occur in some parts of the body after unbalanced nutrition, pregnancy or hormonal disorders. When these fats are resistant and cannot be lose by sports or diet, people seek solutions to regional fatness problems with Liposuction. Liposuction is the process that aims to reduce the excess fat in the existing area by using vacuuming technique in order to put an end to stubborn fatness that does not decrease with weight loss and exercise. Liposuction is most commonly performed on the abdomen, chest, hips, arms, hips and legs. The main process is not to make a person lose weight, but to contribute to regional thinning by burning fat cells in certain areas.

Liposuction Techniques

Fat removal is currently performed in three different methods. The doctor decides which method to apply after examining the patient. The first method is the classical one. In this method, small incisions are made for cannula entry into the body. This method is no longer much preferred because there is a risk of scarring. In the Laser Liposuction process, the fat in the body is crushed and thickened by using laser energy at a certain wavelength. In this method, the cannulas to which the laser cable is connected are inserted through the incision created in the body. In the Vaser Liposuction method, the corresponding area is marked by the doctor and a liquid solution is injected here. During the process, sound waves of a specific frequency are sent to the fat, allowing them to break down. In the Vaser Liposuction method, fats can be removed from the body by vacuuming and transferred to other parts of the body as a filler if desired.

Liposuction Procedure

One of the most preferred liposuction methods today is Vaser Liposuction , the procedure performed with ultrasonic sound waves. Ultrasonic sound waves are used in the Vaser liposuction operation, and fats are broken down and aspirated with the help of a cannula. Small incisions are made while the patient is under general anesthesia. After that, the fat cells are fluidized with sound waves given from the ends of thin probes. These fats, which become liquid, are removed by vacuuming with cannulas. It does not require any sutures. Depending on the amount of fat to be taken, the processing time may vary between half an hour and three hours. During liposuction, fat shaping (Liposhaping) can also be performed.

Healing Process

Recovery after liposuction depends on the volume of the area where the operation was performed. As the number of these areas increases, the healing process will also be prolonged. After liposuction, Patients need to protect the treated area using a specially manufactured corset. These corsets should be used for 4-8 weeks. It is normal for edema and bruises to form during this process. A week after the operation, the stitches are removed, and after a week or two, if the patient's condition is good, they can return to their work and daily life. At the end of a month, patients can start exercising and light workouts. Cutting out salty, sugary and doughy foods for a while after liposuction will increase your recovery and fat loss rate. On average, at the end of 2 months, there is no trace of the procedure at all.
