IMPLANT TREATMENT
IMPLANT TREATMENT
Modern dentistry also benefits from the rapidly developing technology. Missing teeth pose major problems both for dental health and aesthetically. As an alternative to bridge and prosthetic dental practices, which are traditional dentistry treatments, implant dental treatment has been developed. The implant method is screws made of titanium that are placed into the jawbone in areas of dysfunctional teeth and tooth loss, which do not contain any harm for health. A dental prosthesis is then placed on these screws to provide both a healthy and aesthetic appearance. Implant treatment has many positive aspects compared to other methods. First of all, implant treatment does not damage neighboring teeth. In traditional methods, the enamel tissues of neighboring teeth are damaged first and then the neighboring teeth are reduced so that the prosthesis can be placed. This negatively affects dental health. But thanks to implant treatment, these negative consequences have been prevented. Implant treatment may need to be applied to the jaw parts that have no teeth, in cases where full implant cannot be used as a result of bone resorption. The bridge process, which will be applied to long toothless areas, may be unhealthy and unusable. In order to improve this, some of the gaps are treated with implants and in this way, the bridge treatment will be more useful. In addition, the gum in the area where the implant will be applied should also be healthy. If the area does not have a healthy gum, the gum should be treated first and then the implant process should be started. If this is not done, it may lead to greater health problems in the future.
