ORTHODONTICS
Orthodontics is a branch of dentistry that tries to bring crooked and unhealthy teeth to the aesthetic appearance they should be, conducts studies to prevent the occurrence of these conditions, and also performs treatments in this field. Orthodontic problems are more than one, and as a result, there are more than one treatment methods. The age of the patients is also important in some treatments. Because in order for some operations to be performed, the patient's bone development must be complete. For example, if the lower jaw is before or behind, the treatment that will be applied varies depending on the patient's age. If the patient is in adolescence and there is a disproportion in the structure of the lower and upper jaw, orthodontic treatment methods are possible. If the patient is an adult since their bone development is completed, cooperation with dental surgery is required in addition to orthodontic treatment. There are some habits that cause disorders that require orthodontic treatment. These are; using a bottle or pacifier for a long time, finger sucking and nail eating. Getting rid of them as early as possible also eases treatment. Because these habits negatively affect bone development. Orthodontic problems are caused by the structure of the tongue, as well as the jaw and teeth. Large tongue negatively affects the development of teeth, causing the teeth to grow diagonally and to be spaced apart. We can divide the tools used in this treatment into generally four: Transparent plates, removable orthodontic appliances, fixed orthodontic appliances and mini screws. It can also be called an invisible alternative treatment to braces for transparent plaques. It is produced for personal use on computers. In addition, it seems that treatment with transparent plaque is more effective compared to braces treatment. Since there are no braces used in this treatment, there is also no wound formation caused by stinging and incision. The goal here is to get your teeth away from a distorted image and get an aesthetic appearance. Removable orthodontic appliances are the preferred treatment method for; in dental cavities that are formed due to teeth that were removed early in childhood, in the treatment of gum diseases caused by a crossbite, lower and upper jaw abnormalities. Since it is a tool that can be inserted and removed, attention should be paid to its cleaning. It is a cheaper solution compared to other treatments. It plays an important role for jaw treatments. It can lead to some negativities in the adaptation process. Fixed orthodontic appliances are used to brace treatment. They are glued to the teeth and stay in the same place until the brace treatment is completed. The range of its use is quite wide. It has a useful structure and does not cause allergic reactions in patients. As for the tools with screws, also called braces, we can see in many people today. Although its use is very common, the habituation period is painful. But looking at the results, it seems that it causes noticeable changes in many areas.
